Lütfi Kırdar Rumeli Congress Center
The center is a composite steel structure composed of 1.750 tons of tailored steel and 10.000m3 reinforced concrete which is built inside a 120.000 m3 excavation space. It is retained all around by anchorage reinforced concrete pile plank with a vertical surface area of 3.500 m2 and set against the heavy side loads of existing adjacent buildings.
The building interior volume of 110.000 m3 has a 25-meter roof span and is completely roofed by a natural terrace garden, providing facilities for outdoor functions. All the structural Works and electrical–mechanical works, fitting, and finishing works of the five-star congress center have been completed just in time to host its first event –the international telecommunication congress. Entrance Floor: 4 multipurpose halls separated by moveable partition walls to be used for conferences shows and invitations, which can be combined with each other and foyers to host 2.500 people at once in banquet order, Main entrance foyer, and a side foyer. 4th Floor: Entrance from the main building & roof garden, a natural landscape roof garden with a banquet capacity of 1.500 people
